Wamberal Public School, situated on the Central Coast of New South Wales, serves part of Wamberal and all of Forresters Beach, both suburbs of Gosford City.
It also serves part of Tumbi Umbi, a suburb of Wyong Shire. Situated between, and drawing from, suburban and semi-rural areas the school has a bushland setting. There is a water retention dam which is utilised as an environmental study area and the site contains a large stand of native timber and shrubs. The mission statement of the school community is to develop children who strive for their best in academic, sporting, cultural and environmental pursuits in safe, happy, caring, stimulating surroundings and who value friendship, learning, truth, harmony, respect, citizenship and the environment.
Literacy, numeracy, quality teaching and student wellbeing are hallmarks of the curriculum, which support and empower learners. Parents, students and teachers work together to determine the school's direction and priorities. Our attractive grounds and buildings complement our excellent learning facilities.
A computer lab and interactive whiteboards, a well resourced library, creative arts programs, new classrooms and COLA as well as varied sport and extracurricular activities provide the best possible opportunities for every child. The school is recognised for the quality of its programs that encourage students to learn, act responsibly, communicate and grow.
